“Find a Need. Meet the Need.
Change a Nation.” A small caption for a nation changing effort
as Tree of Life Ministries reaches out in the country of
Honduras.
Where does a child go to when 7th
grade begins and there is no money to pay for the books and
fees? Such is the plight of the majority of Hondurans as dad,
who earns a couple of dollars a month, tries to supply the needs
for his family and “pay” the public schooling’s fees of books,
supplies and miscellaneous items.
What happens then? The children
are brought home to help make ends meet since there is not
enough to support the child’s educational needs. And the circle
of poverty continues.
But all over the country of
Honduras a hope has opened for these hungry people. Tree of
Life opens the educational door to eliminate this circle of
death called poverty. With over 400 interns students where
their medical, physical and educational needs are met, TOLM
sponsors these children pumping out accountants, carpenters,
business administrators, computer operators, public relations
and many other areas of education.
And, more importantly, as
literally hundreds of students have graduated breaking the cycle
of poverty, they go empowered with the living Word of God that
has transformed their families and sometime their home towns.
Tree of Life has also opened over
two dozen churches in unreached areas and has spread their
influence into the unreached people groups of the Mesquite
Indians in the jungles of Honduras.
